Anime Through My Pencil ✏️✨
Everyone thinks anime is "just a cartoon." Not gonna lie, I used to think the same way. After all, many of us began our anime journey with Doraemon playing on the television, watching it for hours without even realizing it was anime. The same goes for Ninja Hattori and Kiteretsu. They were a part of our childhood before we even knew what the word anime meant.
But when I consciously stepped into the world of anime, I realized it was so much more than animated entertainment. It explores science, philosophy, psychology, mythology, history, politics, friendship, loss, hope, and countless other aspects of life through beautifully written stories and unforgettable characters. Looking back, I'm truly grateful that I found my way into this incredible world of imagination.
This corner of my blog is where my passion for anime meets my love for art. Here, I'll be sharing the characters that inspired me, the sketches they became, and the stories that made them unforgettable. Whether it's the brilliance of science, the strength of friendship, or the courage to keep moving forward, every drawing is more than just fan art, it's a tribute to the worlds that continue to inspire me.
The first character is Sano Manjiro, better known as Mikey, from Tokyo Revengers. Who doesn't love this character? Despite being the leader of a feared delinquent gang, Mikey is often seen smiling whenever he is with his friends. Beneath his overwhelming strength lies someone who deeply cares for the people around him. His character reminds us that true strength isn't measured only by physical power but also by the courage to protect others and carry responsibility.
Secondly, we have the unforgettable duo, Gojo Satoru and Suguru Geto from Jujutsu Kaisen. Their friendship has an enormous fan base because it feels incredibly real. They laugh together, challenge each other, and face impossible missions side by side. Their story also reminds us that even the strongest friendships can be tested by differences in beliefs, making their bond one of the most emotional and memorable relationships in modern anime.
Lastly, there's the character who single-handedly began rebuilding civilization after humanity was petrified by a mysterious green light, using nothing but science. His name is Ishigami Senku from Dr. Stone. Fans often joke that his distinctive hair resembles a green onion because green onions sprout again from their roots, symbolizing Senku's mission to rebuild the Kingdom of Science from scratch. His character is one of the main reasons I began admiring science and the incredible wonders it can achieve. From creating electricity and light bulbs to developing telephones and countless other inventions, Senku shows that knowledge, curiosity, and determination have the power to rebuild an entire world.
Anime has inspired not only the stories I love but also the art I create. These sketches are my way of appreciating the characters and the lessons they've left behind. I hope you enjoy this journey through my pencil as much as I enjoy bringing these worlds to life.
